John Petrachek started his career in the Industrial, Commercial and Institutional roofing industry in 1993 as a representative with a roofing manufacturer. His vision has always been to stay ahead of the competition by delivering outstanding customer service and communications.
Mr. Petrachek is a proud member of the Ontario Industrial Roofing Contractors Association (O.I.R.C.A.), the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC), Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA), and the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) and he has dedicated his time and resources to the roofing industry over the past 20 years and has lectured on key topics at venues across Canada.
Mr. Petrachek is also involved in numerous other companies ranging from Land Development, Global Solar Development, IT Hardware, Importing, Aviation, Mechanical Contracting, General Contracting and Software Development. He also continues to give back to the community with donations and sponsorships, both personally and corporately, as well as creating the VIP Foundation which helps individuals and families in need on a local level.
As a dedicated president and father, his entrepreneurial spirit is hopefully followed by his children for years to come.
Steve Murray has been with Atlas Apex Roofing for over 20 years. Steve oversees the day-to-day activities of the project managers, purchasing agents, health and safety officers, and over 150 roofing, sheet metal and support staff employees.
He has successfully completed all three levels of training necessary to be a member of a “Joint Health and Safety Committee”, as recognized by the Ministry of Labour (MOL), and the Workplace Safety Insurance Board (WSIB) in the construction sector. In addition, he is presently a member of the “Risk Assessment Committee” with the Ontario Industrial Roofing Contractors Association (OIRCA).
John McDowell began his roofing career in September of 1994 as a junior estimator. His interest in the field quickly grew as he progressed through the ranks to senior estimator and marketing specialist.
John started at Atlas-Apex Roofing as Vice-President in 2002. As part of the executive team, he is responsible for overseeing sales and day-to-day operations, as well as directly managing Atlas-Apex’s National Account portfolio.
Brett Beetles has spent over 20 years specializing in the industrial, commercial and institutional roofing industry. His role in senior management has enabled him to assist and develop junior colleagues by educating and guiding them to provide sound solutions and superior customer service.
Brett is continually upgrading his knowledge of changes in the industry to keep up to date on green initiatives, cool roofing, LEED accreditation, light weight concrete, sustainable roofing solutions, solar initiatives, manufacturer installations and all safety aspects of the industry.
Frank Alvaro joined Atlas-Apex Roofing in May 2016. In addition to overseeing the finance and accounting function and related information systems, Frank supports senior management in strategic and operational decision making and manages risk in relation to setting and achieving the organization’s objectives.
Maureen Kane is responsible for providing direction on health and safety issues to senior management, supervisors and workers. She continually updates the Health and Safety Management System by monitoring, reviewing, and updating internal policies to meet or exceed ever-changing industry standards. Maureen is a highly motivated, creative and versatile health and safety director with a wealth of experience in policy and program development, training, and facilitation of health and safety awareness.
